We offer accredited training for Forest School, Curriculum-Based Outdoor Learning, Coastal School and more.
Forest School is a long-term process of regular sessions that take place in a woodland or outdoor environment and support the relationship between the learner and the natural world. It uses a range of learner-centered processes and aims to promote the holistic development of all those involved, fostering resilience confidence, independence and creativity. We offer Forest School training from level 1 all the way through to our Train the Trainer course at level 4. This is the only franchise-free level 4 in the UK.
Curriculum-Based Outdoor Learning involves a skilled practitioner selecting a curriculum area and utilising the special nature of the outdoors to deliver content in an exciting and engaging way. When carefully planned and linked to the children’s interests and ongoing learning, this is a powerful way to engage children with a topic or curriculum area. We offer Curriculum-Based Outdoor Learning from level 1 to level 3.
Coastal School gives the skills and knowledge to plan, run and evaluate learning in coastal environments. This level 3 course can be a stand-alone qualification or a fast-track top-up course for qualified Forest School Leaders.
All of our learners are important to us and we work hard to provide what each one needs to succeed. We believe that face-to-face advice and guidance can be invaluable. We also have comprehensive online support for our learners and our tutors are available to offer advice and guidance to students via e-mail and telephone. Some of our courses require work-based assessment, we believe it is important to visit our learners in their setting to observe, guide and support them.
